Juan Estevez
Juan was recently named the Head Diving Coach at the University of South Carolina after breaking into the college coaching world this past 2024-25 season as the Assistant Dive Coach at the University of North Carolina. Prior to this, Juan coached for Orlando Dive Academy, in Orlando, Florida, where he developed some of the top junior divers in the nation.Juan was also a member of the USA coaching staff at the 2024 Junior Pan American Championships in Brazil where he coached Lanie Gutch to silver on the 1-meter and 4th in the synchronized platform event.Juan was also a well accomplished diver. As a Junior, Juan quickly rose to the Cuban Junior National Team and went on to win 15 junior national titles. In 1989, as part of the Cuban Senior National Team, he went on to win seven senior national titles. He was also named to the Cuban Olympic Team for the 2000 Sydney Games, in Australia.

Dominique Santiago
Dominique began coaching in 2022 for Orlando Dive Academy as an assistant coach. She coached pre-team groups as well as high school and JO level. After Juan made his move to North Carolina, Dominique was given the opportunity to continue diving and coaching with NC Diving Club. There, she coached advanced pre-team and helped with other groups as needed, shadowing and learning under Juan. Now, she has been given the opportunity to continue coaching and help Juan with developing the team here in South Carolina.As a former gymnast, Dominique began diving in 2017. She began diving at a high school level, and competed at the Florida High School District and Regionals within her first three months. In 2018, she went on to dive in Orlando, Florida, and developed lists on 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform to later compete at YMCA Nationals, and USA Diving Region 3 and Zone B Championships and taking bronze at the Florida High School State Championships. In 2021, Juan Estevez came in as her new coach in Orlando and coached her to become part of the Czech National Team for whom she has competed in Austria, Germany, and Italy.Â
